Default Deleted directories on D. Now get missing or corrupt system32\conf

I deleted several files and directories on my D: drive. I didn't think they
would have anything to do with my Win XP operations. Turned Computer off last
night and now at boot get missing or corrupt C:\windows\system32\config. I
booted to CDRom Setup and tried the restore program but I only had one
restore point and it didn't fix it. Before I try the sequence to copy a new
system (copy C:\windows\repair\system) I need to know if there is a way to
just restore everything from my recycle bin if I boot from the CDRom and get
am at the c:\windows propmt? Will the Copy fix messup the items in the
recycle box? Yes, I didn't backup my drives and I didn't use the restore
points--- Kick me, Kick me, Kick me!!!!
