I am using the XP Start menu. If I use the Classic view, it shows the programs. If I type in C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\Start Menu\Programs it works, but not if I use the %homepath%\Start Menu\Programs. I agree with you, there is something wrong with the Shell Folders. What about the main start menu in classic (above the line). Classic Main Start + Programs = XP All Programs. Programs is also a sub folder of Start menu.
