My uncle is in the learning stages with his laptop. Although he
bought it last year he's only just retired, and how he's having fun learning to work with it. However, the inevitable happens ... he inadvertently tried installing a version of WinXP Office that he was given from his old job when he left (he'll be doing consultant work for them in future) on top of the Office 2000 he already has. So when I was visiting last weekend for Xmas, I managed to fix the situation. MS installer corrupted but was able to find fix on MS KB and could then delete both offices and re-install Office 2000 (because it's the version I know). Ever since then, however, all the icons on all the toolbars in the office suite are about twice their normal size and pixelated. They're ugly, too and take up more space because of their large size. These weren't like this when he recvd laptop from company and it happened after the re-install so was wondering how to fix? Can anyone help? I have Win98SE at home and Win2K at office so am not very familiar yet with XP Pro. Thanks. D |

Either run repair from add/remove software in the control panel or run
detect and repair from help menu of Word. Select restore my shortcuts and restore default setting check box on the detect and restore menu.
