Default msn messenger 7.5 vs Windows messenger 5.1

If I remove Windows Messenger, MSN Messenger 7.5 will work ok.? or I need to
keep both? Thanks for your help.

Greetings Don,

If you're planning on removing it using the built-in functionality in Add or Remove Programs
then everything will be fine (since it doesn't actually remove the files).

If you're planning on forcibly removing it, then yes, MSN Messenger will continue to work
fine but Remote Assistance, Whiteboard and Application Sharing within MSN Messenger will
prompt you to install Windows Messenger again before they'll work.

Thanks, Jonathan.

I will removing it using Add or Remove Programs, but I notice there is 2
windows messenger in add or remove windows components. one without check
mark with the figure of msn messenter has 0.0 mb and the other one with a
check mark (grey) with 14.3 mb, but I am unable to remove the check mar in
the second one.
Any help willbe appreciated.
