Default Mac iChat compatibility

My sister has a mac, but I like her anyway and would love to be able to
chat with her. However, I work for a company that only allows us to use MS
Messenger and Windows Messenger. Are either of these compatible with iChat?

PS> It's no use trying to get her to install MSMessenger for Mac. She's
tried, but she's hopeless. :0

Thanks!

Why don't you buy a laptop that runs windows xp. Set the thing up so that it
runs MSN Messenger or Windows Messenger and mail it to her. You might
consider getting another job that will allow you to buy a Mac and set it up
so that you can talk to her. Rent-to-own might help with the outlay of cash.
Just who do you work for that restricts what you do on your own time and do
they pay you 27-7 for that right.

Greetings,

I'm afraid not, Messenger does not operate on the same networks that iChat can (Jabber/AIM)
nor is the video support presently used in iChat compatible with what Messenger is using.

However, what you can do is install AIM (http://www.aim.com) on your PC and communicate to
her (her using iChat, you using AIM) using that.
