I found a very weird behaviour for MSN Messenger 7.0, it never happend on
6.2. After i signed out of MSN, and click "Exit" on the MSN system tray icon.
I thought my MSN is not running anymore. However, after a few minutes, it
seems like MSN automatically signed in without any UI running. Message window
will pop up if someone message me. Taks manager shows msnmsgs.exe is running.
But without any UI. (This is kind of annoying)
Is there anyway i can solve this problem?

What's actually happening is Windows Messenger is running in the background (msmsgs.exe; MSN
Messenger is actually msnmsgr.exe).

As long as you don't mind losing Remote Assistance, Whiteboard or Application Sharing, you
can simply uninstall Windows Messenger and solve this madness by clicking the Start button,
then click Run and type in (copy-paste if you like):
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Then click OK.
Messenger will then be uninstalled. For more detailed instructions and screenshots, go to,
