Default Microsoft Windows Messenger version 5.1.0701 fails to install properly when deployed using Active Directory Group Policy

The latest version "Microsoft Windows Messenger version 5.1.0700 - release
date: September 16, 2005" (actually version 5.1.0701) fails to install
properly when deployed using Active Directory Group Policy Computer Assigned
deployment. This might be because the "these applications need to be
closed" dialog box is still displayed and waits for user input (that can
never be given) during the installation which occurs before the user logon.
The .MSI thus needs to be fixed by Microsoft.
