I can no longer see when a contact is typing a reply. I was using Messenger
in XP Pro when it happened. To try and find the problem I have upgraded to
7.5, reserached trouble shooting, and even disabled my fire wall settings.
Nothing has helped. It would be nice to see when a contact is sending a
message.

It's possible that they're using a client that either doesn't send this information, has an
option not to send this information or simply doesn't (for instance, some encryption
applications like simp won't send this info).
