Default MSN Messenger and Standby

Since installing the latest update, my computers will not go into standby (S3) at the predestinated time (30 min). As a matter of fact, when I close my laptop's lid, it stays on (it is supposed to standby).

Anyone else have this problem with 7.5.0311? Or am I chasing ghosts? :-)
