Help!
I installed 5.1 Windows Messenger. It gave me the 'logging on' message, but never did. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling 4.7. But now when I double click on Windows Message, it goes busy then nothing happens. I tried reinstalling from the windows XP disk, doesn't work. |

Greetings,
When you mean "busy" do you mean the cursor? If so, download and run both of these .reg files to see if we can get it working: http://messenger.jonathankay.com/dow...enger_user.reg http://messenger.jonathankay.com/dow...emessenger.reg You'll need to reboot to see the change. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Messenger/MSN Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com All posts unless otherwise specified are (c) 2005 Jonathan Kay. Actually once I turned off my Norton Internet Firewall it started working.
I would like to turn it back on, if I knew how to allow messenger. Maybe in an update, it added a port?
