Default Windows Messenger 4.7.3001 vs 5.1

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Hello all.

Will you excuse me if this has already been asked but...I am unable to
find out if there could be any reason to switching to Windows Messenger
5.1 from version 4.7.3001.

Assuming I am not prompted to doing it via microsoft update because
there aren't any security updates (do I guess right?) I wonder if I had
better switch to the newest version or keep the windows xp pro default
supplied one.

I hope you will be able solve my doubts :-)

Tia,

Stefano

Well this sounds mandatory :-)
....and makes me think I should follow your advice.

Do you mean I will have new functionality and added security?

I am asking this...also due to some fonts I cannot display and share
with
other users running Msn Messenger (plus?)...but I am more interested in
security features.

Thanks,

Stefano
