Hi guys,
I have an otherwise completely stable Siemens Fujitsu 3.2Gig Pentium Machine with a Gigabyte of RAM. I have captured my videos onto my Hard disk in AVI format and everything works, other than Movie maker is so unstable - it is always crashing. This is the only application on my machine to be so unstable. This is a great pity since I think this application is great considering it's a freebie. Anyone shed any light onto this please???? Best regards, -- Stever |

Probably you have the same problem I have using my Dell 3000. If I play
the storyboard much the system locks up on me. MM2 requires a lot of memory and doesn't manage it well enough. Let Windows XP adjust the size of your virtual memory file or set that file size to max. Your options should include automatic file saving. Also save your file after each change you make. Then, when MM2 locks up, terminate the program using ctl/alt/del. Restart movie maker and it will ask if you want to recover the automatically saved project. Click yes and everything should return to where you were.
