Default What Is Best Setting

Completed editing movie using Windows MM2. I selected "Save To My
Computer". In the Save Movie File window, I gave the movie a name.
In the Movie Settings, I selected Other.

Question: In the drop down box, What is the best choice to select
so I could view the new movie on either my DVD-R player or desktop?
Thank You In Advance

Default RE: What Is Best Setting

I am pretty new to digital movie making so I don't claim to be an expert. I
save my movies as DV-AVI. This is the highest quality setting available.
You can view the saved AVI file on your PC, and your DVD burning software
should be able to easily convert and burn the AVI file to DVD for viewing
with a traditional DVD player. The only drawback to AVI is the size of the
files. Every hour of AVI video is about 12GB. And depending on your DVD
burning software, you should probably not expect to get more than 60 minutes
of video on a stadard 4.7GB DVD-R. Hope that helps.
