I've added still photos to WMM in the past with no problem. Right now I'm
trying to create a 30 min slide show with about 200 photos, by far the most I have ever done. Unfortunately, WMM freezes up when I try to save the collection of photos as a movie file. For everything else the program works fine. And my PC is new, with tons of power, RAM, etc. I'm wondering if there is something about using photos in WMM that is problematic. Any advice? -- TJ |

There is some equation that papajohn has figured out related to project
complexity involving number of clips, effects and transitions... Easiest would be to divide the whole project into 3 or 4 sub projects and make individual movies. Afterwards you can combine the three/four of them in yet another project. -- Rehan MS MVP -- Digital Media www.rehanfx.org - get transitions and effects for Windows Movie Maker "TJ" <TJ@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:244979CF-9AC7-4B7E-9951-883D236101B2@microsoft.com... > I've added still photos to WMM in the past with no problem. Also, check for space to fit the movie on the hard disc, ensure it's not
trying to save it somewhere there isn't any. Same goes for the temp files. HDD is defragmented. There are no breaks in the movie which might be causing confusion. In the future, for a pure still slide show, look at using photostory 3. One more thing, although unlikely with a new computer, is to make sure your
HDD is formatted NTFS and not FAT32 as FAT32 will only allow a 4GB maximum filesize. -- Wojo's Place: http://wojos-web.tk Also Please visit..... http://www.remember-christopher.dost...m/christopher/ Dedicated in loving memory of our son Christopher Lee "Graham Hughes" <graham.hughes@dvds2treasure.co.uk> wrote in message news:etosb7DzFHA.2812@TK2MSFTNGP14.phx.gbl... > Also, check for space to fit the movie on the hard disc, ensure it's not > trying to save it somewhere there isn't any.
