Does anyone know of a way to convert a .mswmm cd to a DVD format, after the
project has been completed and saved? |

Use the WMV file on the CD as the source file for your DVD software... if it
can't handle WMV, convert it to a DV-AVI file (you can do it with Movie Maker). -- PapaJohn Movie Maker 2 and Photo Story 3 website - http://www.papajohn.org MM2 Tips and Tricks: http://www.simplydv.co.uk/simplyBB/viewtopic.php?t=4693 Online Newsletters: http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/PapaJohn/Index.aspx "bz" <bz@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8DC4E6D7-BA95-4585-8268-A212709781EA@microsoft.com... > Does anyone know of a way to convert a .mswmm cd to a DVD format, after > the > project has been completed and saved? |

..mswmm is only a source file for Movie Maker created when you save your
project for the purpose of editing the project later. It is NOT a video file and therefore can't be converted to anything. You need to save the movie by clicking "Save to my computer" or typing CTRL+P and then follow Papajohn's advice of using DVD Authoring software to create your DVD. For a list of software see my website (DVD Programs) section. -- Wojo's Place: http://wojos-web.tk Also Please visit..... http://www.remember-christopher.dost...m/christopher/ Dedicated in loving memory of our son Christopher Lee "bz" <bz@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8DC4E6D7-BA95-4585-8268-A212709781EA@microsoft.com... > Does anyone know of a way to convert a .mswmm cd to a DVD format, after > the > project has been completed and saved? |

It is the parameters of your project (location of files, edits, effects, titles, etc) saved in a format that MM2 can understand. You *MUST* save the project as a DV-AVI file, preferably at 720x480 (DVD native). Once the movie is complete, use your preferred DVD authoring program to import the video and convert it to DVD. Sonic MyDVD, Roxio Creator, and Ulead DVD Moviefactory are the most popular DVD authoring programs. Bobby |

The other problem I can foresee is that not all the source files may have
been saved to the cd, so when you open the .mswmm file in movie maker you may get lots of red X's in the timeline. In order to make the avi you'll need access to these files.
