No sound should be heard during capture. With no sound after capture you may
like to try connecting the audio output to the line in of the pc, select this as the audio option and try again. MM is designed more for use with firewire, and not anologue capture which you are doing. It may be best, if you have lots to capture, to use an analogue capture dvice. The better ones are relatively expensive, check out www.canopus.com for their advc range and Miglia. The cheaper ones can often bering their own problems. Other options are to buy a new minidv cam which has analogue in, can be simialr price, gives you new better cam, adn using the analogue in you can pass through to the pc, capture digiatlly adn edit away. If only a small amount, try to borrow a cam to use. Check out www.papajohn.org and see his analogue capture section. -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media www.myvideoproblems.co.uk www.dvds2treasure.com www.simplydv.com "mxcarne" <mxcarne@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:5FDA97C3-AFF6-4967-BC0B-3F09AD81B702@microsoft.com... > Im trying to capture audio and video and cannot seem to get sound. this is > not only in the preview but also after i capture about 3 minutes and > assemle > a few clip, i get no sound whatsoever. right or not Also add the pc specs, what teh wires are connected from andto etc. Though if you have a different problem, you may as well add what the problem is as well........ -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media www.myvideoproblems.co.uk www.dvds2treasure.com www.simplydv.com "Oceana Rose" <OceanaRose@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A24C2244-064B-403A-A743-B586221E860D@microsoft.com... > I'm having a different problem and am trying to hook up my Sony Hi8 > camcorder to the computer. Unless you have a "Save to DVD" option, which is only available on MCE
machines (Media Edition PC's) then you can't save directly to a DVD. You need to save it to your hard drive and use DVD software to either burn the video clip to DVD or a DVD Authoring program to create a "proper" DVD. -- Wojo's Place: http://wojos-web.tk Also Please visit..... http://www.remember-christopher.dost...m/christopher/ Dedicated in loving memory of our son Christopher Lee "marthaj" <marthaj@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7C6805A9-3CC0-4E8C-B4A2-4B9ED90F6970@microsoft.com... >i was having trouble with Windows Movie maker and now that i can use it i >can > t seem to put it on a dvd+rw? it will only accept a cd-rw. i would like to > try and put it on a dvd if possible? > -- > MJG > > > "Graham Hughes" wrote: > >> Are you having trouble with Movie Maker or Studio? >> Movie maker will not accept usb connections, I'm not sure what studio >> does. >> >> -- >> Graham Hughes >> MVP Digital Media >> www.myvideoproblems.co.uk >> www.dvds2treasure.com >> www.simplydv.com >> >> >> i am also having troube with this as well, i have pinnacle studio and >> >> i >> >> have contacted them as well, my windows xp recognizes the USB Port i >> >> have >> >> plugged in >> > but it does not recognize the camcorder, i have a Sony V8 Handycam, i >> > have >> > had it for almost 10 years now and this is the first time i am using >> > this, >> > i >> > have the trial version of pinnacle studio 9. >> >> >> |
