Okay, my daughter's first project is complete and will be presented to
the class in less than an hour. For her first project, she has done well. There is a little glitch that I don't understand. Between some scenes, there is a "squelch" noise (a momentary crackling noise like you hear on an FM or CB radio) between the scenes. The problem is not there when the clips are cross-faded. They are there only when there clips are butted to each other. It does not happen with each clip change. What is the cause? Thanks for all for the help. This is going to be fun, now that I've bought AVS Converter that will burn to DVD, unlike the Sony/NTI software that came with the drive that will NOT burn a movie DVD. Now if I can only figure out chapters, menus, and such. |

check the Problem Solving > Audio Issues page of my website for more than
you want to know or hear about. You might try saving the movie as a DV-AVI file to get the higher quality video... and again as a high quality WMV file to get better audio.... then do another rendering to your final DV-AVI file, using the video track from the DV-AVI and the audio from the WMV. -- PapaJohn Movie Maker 2 and Photo Story 3 website - http://www.papajohn.org MM2 Tips and Tricks: http://www.simplydv.co.uk/simplyBB/viewtopic.php?t=4693 Online Newsletters: http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/PapaJohn/Index.aspx "mcp6453" <mcp6453@earthlink.net> wrote in message news:eF6boabzFHA.720@TK2MSFTNGP15.phx.gbl... > Okay, my daughter's first project is complete and will be presented to the > class in less than an hour. Is this problem one you have heard of before? (I have not read the problems on your web page, but I will.) Also, I bought and installed the AVS Media Converter as recommended by one of the posters here, and it seems to be a very good program. My first DVD that I burned with it actually worked. |

yes, it's a fairly common issue, but not for all users.
