Default Speeding up clip

I want a segment of my video to appear at an accelerated speed.

Is there a way to do that?

there's a standard video effect 'Speed Up - Double' that you can apply to
any video clip... if it's not fast enough apply it again to the same clip
and it'll go double-double or 4 times faster.

Apply it as many as 6 times and it'll really whiz by.
