I'm using a Media Edition Gateway. Camera is a Sony CCD-TR70, which has RCA
output as well as S-video output. Computer accepts these also. Windows Movie Maker. When I click on "Capture from video device" I get the message "The video device is currently in use. Close any other application that is using the device and try again." When I click "OK", I get the message that "The video device cannot be used at this time because there has been an error when starting the device." A window behind this message shows the "available devices" window but there are no devices listed. Clicking OK closes it. I've tried shutting down all in the Start Up per Gateway Tech info. That didn't change it. I've tried various input methods. My computer when starting up Media Center did show video when I went through set up. But the software isn't capturing video. Any help out there? I thought when I got this computer I'd be able to put all my videos on CDs or DVDs. Oceana |

Movie maker rarely accepts analogue inputs. There may be another programme
on your pc which will accpet tehm. It may be best to ask on the mediacentre newsgroup. -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media www.myvideoproblems.co.uk www.dvds2treasure.com www.simplydv.com "Oceana Rose" <OceanaRose@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E8F3EBC3-BAA0-4B81-B9DB-988C215386F1@microsoft.com... > I'm using a Media Edition Gateway.
