I have recently purchased an OEM copy of NERO software which I thought would
allow me to import my WMM projects and burn DVDs. I am saving the projects in the AVI format. However, when I attempt to import them into NERO, the NERO software does not recognize the files and consequently does not allow me to import them. I am wits end!!!! Please help. Thanks! |

PapaJohn,
Thanks for your reply. I have read the info on your site. Is it suggesting that I need a plug-in in order to make this work? If so, will I be able to acquire such a plug in for an OEM piece of software? (In all honesty, I do not know what OEM stands for? Is this a limited edition of the software?) Please advise. Thanks! Hi Paul,
I'm not a user of Nero, but I read a lot of posts by those who are confused about which Nero software is used for what... and some clarifications are in the notes on that page. OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer.... a Dell computer would have Dell as the OEM... a Toshiba... Toshiba. The OEM puts whatever they want on the computers in addition to the operating system, and often it's a low-end version of software that the software provider would like to sell you... the full version. Demo, trial and partial/crippled software is common. -- PapaJohn Movie Maker 2 and Photo Story 3 website - http://www.papajohn.org MM2 Tips and Tricks: http://www.simplydv.co.uk/simplyBB/viewtopic.php?t=4693 Online Newsletters: http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/PapaJohn/Index.aspx "Paul" <Paul@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4DC8CEE8-AA3D-424A-B0E7-C6EDA43C1B6B@microsoft.com... > PapaJohn, > > Thanks for your reply. Thanks for the assistance and information. Looks like not only do I not have
to learn about making home movies, I need to learn to be a better software consumer as well. Thanks again!
