Default Voice Over Narration Error

I have Windows Media Edition and im using the Widows Movie Maker that came
with this Windows. I am currently trying to do a voice over for a credit line
but everytime i put an audio file in the timeline, i get a error and am
forced to shut down. Is there anyway to fix this problem? I tried converting
the voice over file to wma and mp3, but it still doesnt work. I also get the
same problem with my XP Pro. The weird thing is that the audio will work fine
if i use a video file. Is there any easier way to fix this or do i have to
use a video file. And if i do have to use a video file, is there a program
out there that will allow me to put my voice over file over the original
audio? Thanks

The first think I would try is to turn off the filters in the compatibility
tab. See the following link for more info.
