Default Capturing with a Sony DCR - HC42

Hi Guys,
I am trying to capture a video and I keep getting this green screen that has
a lot of flickering etc on my movie maker capture window. I have tried
switching off the filer under the options tab.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Sean

I am connecting via firewire. The video captures fine but I cannot view it
on the pc while capturing.

check out if you have the latest drivers from the graphica card
manufacturer, or the acceleration on your graphics card.

turn it down and test until it hopefully works.

That was it. Thanks a million. I was thinking that I had a hardware problem.
Thanks again.
