I have used moviemaker to do a avi file of slides. Works ok. I know I
can do more with photostory but want to know whether Photostory can output an avi file - that I can then convert to DVD files for viewing? It can do a wma file I think which I can render to DVD but there is a bit of quality loss I imagine thank alan |

Photo Story can only save to a WMV file that is compressed with the Image
codec... you need to take it into your DVD app (if it supports it) or use something like Movie Maker to convert it to a DV-AVI file. -- PapaJohn Movie Maker 2 and Photo Story 3 website - http://www.papajohn.org MM2 Tips and Tricks: http://www.simplydv.co.uk/simplyBB/viewtopic.php?t=4693 Online Newsletters: http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/PapaJohn/Index.aspx "Alan" <moskowa1@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:u3O$ujN3FHA.3976@TK2MSFTNGP15.phx.gbl... >I have used moviemaker to do a avi file of slides. papa John
Thanks - I was going to use Sonic myDVD to take either wmv or avi photostory file to convert to DVD files. I know there is a Sonic plugin that i can buy to do this directly but wonder if I lose significant quality by just taking the wmv and have MYDVD render from that - which it supports. Or would going to avi file with movie maker and then to MyDVD be better? See the PS3 > Saving and Distributing page of my site... using my custom DVD
Profile gives you a better quality story than the Sonic Plug-in does... use that story in MyDVD, assuming your version can handle the PS3 stories (earlier versions such as 4.5 can't handle them). -- PapaJohn Movie Maker 2 and Photo Story 3 website - http://www.papajohn.org MM2 Tips and Tricks: http://www.simplydv.co.uk/simplyBB/viewtopic.php?t=4693 Online Newsletters: http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/PapaJohn/Index.aspx "Alan" <moskowa1@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:ehYaROX3FHA.2816@tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... > papa John > Thanks - I was going to use Sonic myDVD to take either wmv or avi > photostory file to convert to DVD files.
