extracting audio from WMA file

Default extracting audio from WMA file

i have a WMA video/audio file of 2 minutes length.i want to extract the audio
track from the file and save it as a separate file on HD.using Movie Maker-if
i put file on timeline/each video frame i delete also deletes audio.
how can i do this? any comments welcomed.

I suspect you mean you have a .wmv video file?

Try dragging the .wmv file to your "Audio/Music"
track on the timeline. Go to...File / Save Movie
File...the finished file will be a .wma sound file.
