Movie Maker is being freezing on me all the time lately. On occasion I can
start to
edit my video, but it eventually freezes for no reason. Sometimes it freezes
when I am saving.

Any ideas?

My MM 2.1 has changed since I started using it two weeks ago (brand new
computer). Everything was working fine - importing, editing, saving, etc.
Now, when I open a project, or try to play the storyboard, or try to edit,
the picture fills my screen entirely and freezes. Sometimes I can left or
right click, and get back to MM. Then it just happens all over again. I
followed all advice on papajohn site concerning codecs and hardware
accceleration. No luck. Please advise.

Like the previous poster, I followed every advice[codecs and accceleration]
from the site and it didn't work.

Well if it just from 2 weeks ago yours "should" be easy. It likely is either
a codec or DLL issue.
Since it was working fine until two weeks ago the issue was probably from
something installed and a System Restore back to two weeks ago may quite
easily solve the problem.

Well it still could be a lot of different things not necessarily, in fact
not likely, a codec problem.
Video acceleration sometimes helps with certain issues but it is not a
"solution" for any of them.
The System Restore I recommended to the other poster may be the answer for
you as well.
Does WMM freeze up when you open the program without a project?
