I just ended up staying at the mpeg level; there is no loss in quality and it
takes about a quarter of the time to author a new file, compared with the avi process of converting from mpg to avi, editing, saving and then reconverting and writing. I highly recommend it, though the price of and knowledge required by quality mpeg authoring software may be prohibitive to beginners or hobbyists. |
