I have home movies on VHS tapes and need to get them on my pc to edit them. I
will also need to copy the edited movies back to VHS. What is the simplest way to get the VHS movies onto my pc and back to VHS???-- notaclue |

Go to Best Buy, Circuit City, or similar anf buy a video capture device.

If you want quality then I'd recommend looking at either canopus advc range
or Miglia. Both will offer analogue in, digital out by firewire, giving you dv-avi files which are easy to edit, in any programme, inclusing movie maker, and depending on model will also output back out to vhs. You will get no trouble with audio/video sync, as they use tbc to lock the signals together. This cannot be said for any of the cheaper products, as these often capture as mpeg/mjepg, hard to edit, lose sync. -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media www.myvideoproblems.co.uk www.dvds2treasure.com www.simplydv.com "notaclue" <notaclue@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:291D4851-7365-42AD-A5A9-17A860EE559A@microsoft.com... >I have home movies on VHS tapes and need to get them on my pc to edit them. >I > will also need to copy the edited movies back to VHS.
