Are you capturing via firewire? How many other applications do you have
running when you capture? Did you run a disk cleanup and defrag the drive(s) just before capture? -- Cari (MS-MVP) Printing & Imaging "Christopher Thomas" <ChristopherThomas@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:CD54A718-3B5F-4477-938B-0DB051E0BEDF@microsoft.com... > Every time i record the DV tape to my computer and create clips the play > back > keeps clicking and skipping about 2 seconds of the of the recording. > > Can anyone please advise on what i am doing wrong and what can i do to > rectify this fault. > -- > Thanking you in advance |

you will definitely get your best results if you shut down EVERYTHING else
on your PC before importing. close everything in your taskbar, and it's even a good idea (if you're comfortable with this) to do a cntrl-alt-delete and close down as many background apps and services as you can. anything that steals a little CPU time can cause your capture to skid and miss.
