Default Movie Maker immediate error message once opened

Everytime I open movie maker I get an error message. Please help! I was using
the program with no problems for a while until this started happening.

I tried the auto debug with the microsoft error window but did not work. I
also tried to unistall program, but there is no movie maker program in my
control panel uninstall software window why is this.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Try a system restore to go back in time to when it was working OK.

Tried what you said. Had all the proper dll files and also registered all the
dll files. Did not help. I was reading other post and found on 9/6/04 a post
titled error message. I got to it by searching "error message". you help thid
guy Franz by having him delete two files in INTERVIDEO program. I also run
intervideo an think their might be a conflict let me know what you think and
how I can do what Franz did since I didn't quite undestand what he did.

maybe the Problem Solving > Crashes and Hangs page of my site will help....
if it's a codec related issue.
