Default copy file onto dvd

Many thanks to Wojo, Chris M, & John I. for their expert suggestions to a
previous question I submitted. It appears that the standard edition of WMM
that comes pre-installed with my computer will not (or does not) allow me the
option of choosing the format AVI2DVD so that I can play the finsihed file on
a dvd player. Do I now need to purchase a seperate software proram to copy
these files to dvd? Also, how does one obtain WMM2? Thanks again for the
unselfish help offered here.

Movie Maker 2.1 is the latest version and is bundled with the Service Pack 2
for Windows XP. Maybe you already have it.

If you have a DVD burner, you may have software to do it... if not, there
are some links and comments in the DVD software section of my website.
