I bought a new Media Center M7100Y and I had copied the mediatab.dat file
from my old computer to the new one and it worked fine. But when I copied the mediatab.dat file from my M7100Y and copied it back to my M1180n computer it would not work. Also the help talks about a Windows Movie Maker.col file and I have searched and cannot find it anywhere. Anybody know about my problem? -- Mother Goose |

Check the Managing > Collections page of my website.
The mediatab.dat file has a numeric suffix that has to align..... and the COL file is the collection database for Movie Maker 1... if you didn't use MM1 on the computer, there wouldn't be any. -- PapaJohn Movie Maker 2 and Photo Story 3 website - http://www.papajohn.org MM2 Tips and Tricks: http://www.simplydv.co.uk/simplyBB/viewtopic.php?t=4693 Online Newsletters: http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/PapaJohn/Index.aspx "Mother Goose" <MotherGoose@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:2839D575-0004-404F-ABE7-9BB23B412A86@microsoft.com... >I bought a new Media Center M7100Y and I had copied the mediatab.dat file > from my old computer to the new one and it worked fine.
