Final project is completed and playbacks fine in Movie Maker. When saving to
Movie format on my PC, although it takes 30 mins, it seems to save fine. Problem is the playback in Media Player 10. Movie is just less than 15 mins, 177 MB. It will play the audio start to finish, but hangs on a picture about half way through and stops showing any video, effects & visualizations. Based on what I've read so far, I'm assuming it's best to save the movies into smaller portions and re-import them into one larger movie at the end ?? Any advise is greatly appreciated, as this is for a wedding reception presentation this weekend (12/03/05) |

See the Problem Solving > Can't Save a Movie page of my website.
try a render to a low quality Pocket PC choice... it uses less memory than the higher quality choices. if you get the full movie on it, then try increasing your virtual memory before splitting the project.... the page covers how to do it. -- PapaJohn Movie Maker 2 and Photo Story 3 website - http://www.papajohn.org MM2 Tips and Tricks: http://www.simplydv.co.uk/simplyBB/viewtopic.php?t=4693 Online Newsletters: http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/PapaJohn/Index.aspx "Christopher Palmer" <Christopher Palmer@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:BE007019-7B68-43EC-B09C-A2A25CE390E1@microsoft.com... > Final project is completed and playbacks fine in Movie Maker. One additional note, not sure if this is coincidental, the part it seems to
hang in Media Player is just before an MP3 audio portion ? If it's best to convert the MP3 to a wav file, how would I do that ? |

Put the MP3 on the timeline of Movie Maker... in a new project;.... and save
the movie. With only audio, it'll make a WMA file that you can then use in the project in place of the MP3. -- PapaJohn Movie Maker 2 and Photo Story 3 website - http://www.papajohn.org MM2 Tips and Tricks: http://www.simplydv.co.uk/simplyBB/viewtopic.php?t=4693 Online Newsletters: http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/PapaJohn/Index.aspx "Christopher Palmer" <ChristopherPalmer@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:FC79DE47-3F5E-4EDA-ADAC-A454E5BBD1A7@microsoft.com... > One additional note, not sure if this is coincidental, the part it seems > to > hang in Media Player is just before an MP3 audio portion ? > > If it's best to convert the MP3 to a wav file, how would I do that ? > |

In addition to what Papajohn covered the issue could also be a bad image
file. Assuming it stops on the same image every time what filetype is that image? Just like MP3's it has been reported by many here that JPG's can occasionally cause issues. When this occurs you should convert the JPG to a BMP. -Wojo "Christopher Palmer" <ChristopherPalmer@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:FC79DE47-3F5E-4EDA-ADAC-A454E5BBD1A7@microsoft.com... > One additional note, not sure if this is coincidental, the part it seems > to > hang in Media Player is just before an MP3 audio portion ? > > If it's best to convert the MP3 to a wav file, how would I do that ? > |

I too am having this same problem. The audio portion plays fine all the way
through, but the video gets stuck. I resaved the project under a different name and played it again - the audio portion again played all the way through and the video this time stuck on a different picture (no editing was done in between saves). |

And the filetypes in your project are?
As with Christopher, if you are having the exact same problem, it is likely because of either a bad filetype or a corrupt file. -Wojo "andyinc" <andyinc@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1575D357-A234-4EEF-915D-A0E6EA3D5A52@microsoft.com... >I too am having this same problem.
