Hi I'm doing a project in school wth my 3 classes and they've all made a
little movie but now I want to put them on dvd so they can play them at home over Xmas. What's the best way? Do I need to buy some extra software? There will be approx 100 dvds to make. (all films will be quite short - approx 5 mins) so software that helps you do the job quickly and easily would be the best for us. Thanks for any help! Chihiro (Ireland) |

Yes you need more software unless your computer is a Media Center edition
with the "Save to DVD" option. Most popular DVD Authoring programs allow you to make multiple copies of a DVD, in fact the additional copies are done far more quickly than the first one. After the program creates your first DVD it will offer to burn additional copies and since the rendering and converting is already done all it needs to do is go directly to the burning part of the process. There is a list of the more popular DVD authoring programs on my website in the "DVD Programs" section along with download links. -- Wojo's Web: http://www.remember-christopher.dostweb.com/Wojo's_Place/ Also Please visit..... http://www.remember-christopher.dost...m/christopher/ "Chihiro" <Chihiro@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4F8ABE39-C006-4686-BEC8-9283172DA359@microsoft.com... > Hi I'm doing a project in school wth my 3 classes and they've all made a > little movie but now I want to put them on dvd so they can play them at > home > over Xmas. > What's the best way? it'll actually be 100 different films to burn to dvd. Had a look at your
suggestions. Is the avs converter prob the most straight forward for the job? All I want to do is burn to dvd really. Might look at other features in the future. Have downloaded the trial version of avs. will see how i get on! thanks "Wojo" wrote: > Yes you need more software unless your computer is a Media Center edition > with the "Save to DVD" option. AVS Converter is not really the best app for the job here.
Actually I would recommend the trial version of Ulead DVD Workshop2 for this one since it is easy to use. I have never worked with that many clips before on one DVD, that is a lot of menu items for clicking but you can simply use clickable text with DVD Workshop to go to each clip instead of icons so workshop is the best app IMO for the job. -Wojo "Chihiro" <Chihiro@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:41ECACF6-AB9D-488B-B24F-E1D40267B650@microsoft.com... > it'll actually be 100 different films to burn to dvd. Alternatively Nero 6 is also useful for DvD Authoring.

Yes Nero 6 is on the list on my website but I generally don't recommend it
for beginners simply because it is harder to work with than Movie Factory. But your right Nero6 (if you have the full version not the demo) with Nero Vision Express is a good DVD Authoring program. -Wojo "Gazza" <Gazza@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8A7CF320-DFE0-4560-9217-8A072A753762@microsoft.com... > Alternatively Nero 6 is also useful for DvD Authoring. > > "Wojo" wrote: > >> AVS Converter is not really the best app for the job here. >> Actually I would recommend the trial version of Ulead DVD Workshop2 for >> this >> one since it is easy to use. >> I have never worked with that many clips before on one DVD, that is a lot >> of >> menu items for clicking but you can simply use clickable text with DVD >> Workshop to go to each clip instead of icons so workshop is the best app >> IMO >> for the job. >> -Wojo >> >> "Chihiro" <Chihiro@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message >> news:41ECACF6-AB9D-488B-B24F-E1D40267B650@microsoft.com... >> > it'll actually be 100 different films to burn to dvd.
