Hi

I have a sony dv cam dcr-trv15e. Its connected thru a firewire cable. The
video capture wizard pops up as soon as I connect the camcorder. It works
fine till rewinding the tape dialog. As soon as it comes to capturing video a
window pops up saying one of the devices being used to capture video has been
disconnected from your computer. The wizard will now exit. Please check
device connections and try again.

I would greatly appreciate any help

Sounds like a poor connection, I'd start by trying a cable you know works
properly. If this doesn't work you need to test your cam and firewire ports
on the pc with other items you know work properly.
