I am a real "newbie", I have successfully recorded some video from my cam
corder using A/V lead for video and A/V to 3.5m jack for audio - I can hear the sound when I am recording, but there is no sound at all on playback ? wondered if anyone could suggest what I should look for, I would be very grateful. -- garrya |

MM rarely works with analogue capture, and you can't hear the sound when you
are capturing, so it appears you may be bypassing MM with the audio which is why you can here it when you think you are capturing. To try to get it to work, can you select the audio input in MM when you go through the capture settings, if so, ensure this connection - line in - is set in volume control. http://www.myvideoproblems.com/Tutor...AudioInput.htm You may find buying an analogue to digital capture device, if you have lots ot do, is less hassle. http://www.simplydv.co.uk/Reviews/av_digitisers.html -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media www.myvideoproblems.co.uk www.dvds2treasure.com www.simplydv.com "garrya" <garrya@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:AA8B0757-4FF3-4EE2-BB35-8047BD2D45EB@microsoft.com... >I am a real "newbie", I have successfully recorded some video from my cam > corder using A/V lead for video and A/V to 3.5m jack for audio - I can > hear > the sound when I am recording, but there is no sound at all on playback ? > wondered if anyone could suggest what I should look for, I would be very > grateful. > -- > garrya |

Hi Graham, many thanks for your advice - I settled for using RF through VCR
using MCE to record, I guess to have the best quality I need digital. Thanks again for replying to my post, Regards, Garry A -- garrya "Graham Hughes" wrote: > MM rarely works with analogue capture, and you can't hear the sound when you > are capturing, so it appears you may be bypassing MM with the audio which is > why you can here it when you think you are capturing.
