I have a strange problem, I looked in this forum and didn't see the question
asked. What could be going on with Windows Movie Maker when the video pauses for 1 second every other second? The sound sounds fine. I disabled all services on my machine to make sure it wasn't a service or application. My next thought is that it is a video frame rate to audio frame rate issue, but I can't find any configuration in the program for that. Anyone have any similar issue like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Is this a digital cam connected via firewire?

Eric:
I wondered about the same thing. I describe the problem as being "hiccups" or "bleeps". I also thought of capture rate and speed but didn't find movie maker to be amiable to changing capture rates. Unlike Final Cut, Primere, and others, you can not chagne the preferences. I also use a fire wire. I don't have anything else running and I limit what I capture by creating an EDL (edit decision list). I was told that my computer did not have suffecient space for video storeage (80gb) or RAM 512MB, or that its processor was too slow (1.67ghz). Even when I have over 30gb of space available, I still get those "bleeps" and "hiccups". It does not occur with every project I work on but, it is annoying to have it happen as frequently as it does. It also happens when I save the project to video. The problem is carried over to video playback. Let me also ask you if you are satisfied with the graphics capabilities of movie maker. Do your titles appear on screen in the middle and not on the bottom, for expample, with lower thirds or subtitles? Please reply. I can also be reached at felix_leo_c@hotmail.com Peace & justice!
