Default Device in use

I am getting a "device in use" message when trying to capture video using
Movie Maker from my Panasonic video camera. I have downloaded the video
successfully on another computer, but am receiving this message on my
computer. I would appreciate any ideas on how to resolve this error.

I am running XP Home edition and using a USB 2.0 port (this is the same as
the successful download).

Thank you.

Gary

Default Re: Device in use

USB is not designed for video capture, and MM is designed to use it eithe,
so put the two together and it rarely works. Use firewire for effortless
capture, or capture from your friends using USB2, save to an external hdd
and take that home with you.
