Default WMM doesnt see my HI8 camcorder (TRV36)

Hello all,
I'm having trouble with my WMM seeing my camcorder. WMM does not show the
camcorder in the list of devices when I go to "capture video". I am trying
to using the rca (yellow) video input on the front of my HP Media Center from
the video out of the camcorder. Should this work or do I need a S-video
connection?

Thanks for the help.

Ed

You need an analog capture device... see the Analog Video Capture section of
my website. I have an HP MCE system also and use a Dazzle 80 or connect my
Hi8 camcorder to my digital one and pass the signal thru it into Movie
Maker.

Thanks for the quick response! That is what I thought. I just picked up a
Dazzle 90 on sale at Best Buy, so I'll be making movies shortly.

Thanks again,
Ed

I'm interested in any and all feedback about the Dazzle 90 working with
Movie Maker... is it better than the Dazzle 80?
