If I place a clip into the timeline the
preview buttons remain dead. However, if I then click on the Tools option menu and select Titles & Credits, three of the Preview buttons become live (Play, Stop and Take Picture). However, when I click on these buttons the error message Class Not Registered is displayed. Any ideas of what is causing this problem and how I can overcome it Please help please !!!! Priyank |

Try the usual things first:
1. Reinstall latest runtime of DirectX: full install: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en (http://tinyurl.com/9myu5) 2. (Re)install Windows Media Encoder http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...r/default.aspx Reboot as required. If the above two steps do not work, try following: 3. Close all programs and run this batch file: http://www.rehanfx.org/utils/reregdlls.bat If even that doesn't help then the only option seems to reinstall Service Pack 2 (SP2). http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en (http://tinyurl.com/5bobl) -- Rehan MS MVP -- Digital Media www.rehanfx.org - get transitions and effects for Windows Movie Maker "Priyank" <Priyank@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:10B5A9E4-7765-43C4-A932-7601C5D5F42F@microsoft.com... > If I place a clip into the timeline the > preview buttons remain dead. Is the video clip by chance an MPEG (MPG) clip?
