Default Problems with capture from video device (Adaptec VideOh!)

I am trying to capture from my analog camera through my Adaptec USB AVC-2210
(VideOh! DVD). Miceosoft see's the device but when I go to copy I receive
An unknown error has occured.

Any ideas what I can do to isolate this issue. I really want to use
MovieMaker and I'm just frsurated at this point.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

the Analog Video Capture > Adaptec page of my website has some comments that
sum up to your device being one that captures to an MPEG-2 file, which
doesn't work with Movie Maker...

You would need to capture it with your other software and then convert the
MPEG-2 files to AVI... per the Importing Source Files > Video > MPEG-2 page
of my site...
