Default Burning DVD in Movie Maker

I am stumped. I have HP Media Center I bought Dec 04 with a DVD burner.
When I use Movie Maker 2.1 it shows that I can either create a CD or burn a
DVD which works great.

I just bought a new clone PC with a Sony DVD burner and Same version of
Movie Maker does not show the choice of burning a DVD.......Does anybody know
how I can get the version that will burn the DVD inside Movie Maker? HELP

As I understand it, the DVD burning
option in MM2.1 is only included with
Windows XP Media Center Edition.

Thank you. I have to check with the company who built my new PC because I
was told I was getting the xp media center. Is it possible to get xp
operating system and media center software separately? Mother Goose

No it isn't, sorry.
But it is actually not that hard to do yourself. All the media center
edition does is to create your movie and take it over to MyDVD to create the
DVD. You can get MyDVD if you don't already have it on the new computer and
open the program, load the movie you save, and create the DVD yourself.

I have Media Center and trying to use MOVIE MAKER. On my other HP PC the
Movie Maker Program came with the BURN TO DVD in the list inside Movie Maker.
My new pc does not show this option. I have looked on the website and can't
find anything to update.

Because you can't update it. There is no update.
If you don't have the "Burn to DVD" option then, unless HP messed up meaning
you need to contact them, you don't have a Media Center Edition computer.
But the fact is most of us don't recommend using the "Burn to DVD" option
anyway as it tends, according to many that have tried, to cause bad disks
because it fails a lot.
