Default DVD freezes on picture

I have created a slide show with pictures of my sons and video clips at the
end of the slide show. It previews fine in Windows Movie Maker, but once I
use the option to burn it to a DVD, it will freeze on a picture about 15
minutes into the slide show. The really confusing part is the music that I
overlayed keeps playing. So it doesn't freeze the whole thing, just the
video part. Has this happened to anyone else? What is causing this and is
there a way to fix it? It sucks to put in all that work and not be able to
enjoy the slideshow.
Thanks for any help!
Jason

It could be a number of different things.
First of all your better off saving it to your harddrive first and running
it from there so you know if it works properly before wasting a DVD.

As to the problem it could be from using JPG image files, MPG video files,
or MP3 audio files.
Convert them to BMP, AVI, WMA (or WAV)

Or it could be a problem with the project being too complex although that
usually results in the movie not being saved at all. See the How-to on my
website for splitting a project up.

Or, since you are apparently going straight to DVD, it could be a resources
problem. Saving to your hard drive first should solve that issue otherwise
close all other programs and disable your screensaver before beginning the
process and then do not do any multitasking while the movie is being
created.

Thank you so much for your helpful ideas. The problem fixed itself by saving
to the harddrive first. I took your advice and played the saved AVI all the
way thru and it wasn't the AVI file that had the problem, so it must have
occured during the conversion to the DVD. I actual used the ULEAD program
from your website to create the DVD and it worked perfectly. Thanks again
for all of your help.
