Default Problem with video device not being found...

Good evening everyone...I am trying to rid my house of those things we call
VCR tapes and was going to start doing this last night. However, I cannot
get Movie Maker to start working. Each time I click "Capture from Video
Device" I get a message saying "The video device cannot be used at this time
because there has been an error when starting the device." What gives?? The
setup I have is a GO Video DVD/VCR combo player (DVD is not recordable, I
wish it was) connected via S-Video Cable to my Toshiba. Is it a problem with
my computer or the software?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!!!!

It is a problem with the connection. Movie Maker doesn't like analog
connections and S-Video, while much better than an RCA cable, is still an
analog connection. You need to either use the capture software you have,
assuming the S-Video is an S-Video IN and not an S-Video OUT, to capture an
analog signal.
Your other option would be to purchase a digital pass-through device such as
the Dazzle80 to connect the VCR to and capture to Movie Maker.

I have the Dazzle80 and use it with my Hi8 Sony analog connection without any
problems.
