I can import video files just fine, but when I try to create clips from them,
the program tells me that it's in the process of creating clips, but there is no progress for a long while. Eventually, I have to ctrl+alt+del because the 'cancel' button won't respond. Also, when I try to play the timeline, the player is set on 'play', but the slider doesn't move for a long time. If I wait a while, it starts to play, but there is no picture - just a black screen with audio. I'm guessing these are symptoms to a general problem. Help would be much appreciated! |

Sorry for the delay. If you are still having problems, then can you say what
sort of avi it is, as there are many types. Or, say how you got the avi onto the computer. -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media www.myvideoproblems.co.uk www.dvds2treasure.com www.simplydv.com "MooMoo8888" <MooMoo8888@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7DCD53D9-8D81-4AA2-B8AF-02E2CF09069C@microsoft.com... > The file type I am using is .avi. > > "Graham Hughes" wrote: > >> What is the file type you are using? >> >> -- >> Graham Hughes >> MVP Digital Media >> www.myvideoproblems.co.uk >> www.dvds2treasure.com >> www.simplydv.com >> >> >> "MooMoo8888" <MooMoo8888@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message >> news:1C97D98C-633D-45C1-9449-55A2A042608F@microsoft.com... >> >I can import video files just fine, but when I try to create clips from >> >them, >> > the program tells me that it's in the process of creating clips, but >> > there >> > is >> > no progress for a long while.
