I am doing a movie maker movie for a school project. When I save the movie
to my computer (or any other device with the exception of a DV camera, because I don't have one) there is always an error. Either: a picture at any point in the film wll freeze and be up for the entire film (i.e. picture 25 at 2:41 will be up for the next fourteen minutes until the film is over) but the music keeps playing OR the same thing, but that picture is upside down Why does this happen, and how can I fix the problem? Please help... this is really urgent and important. Thank you, -- Meagan |

Well the upside down picture problem is usually due to a display driver
problem meaning you need to go to the manufacturers website to download newer drivers. The freezing problem however could be a few different things. It doesn't sound like it is always the same picture that it freezes on so it likely isn't a problem with the image filetypes but if your background music is MP3 it will sometimes cause erratic behavior such as what you are describing so if you ARE working with an MP3 try converting it to WMA or WAV and importing that then save your movie. -Wojo -- Wojo's Web: http://www.remember-christopher.dostweb.com/Wojos_web/ Also Please visit..... http://www.remember-christopher.dost...m/christopher/ "Meagan" <meagan.richard@gmail.com> wrote in message news:C4D0CDA2-274E-4D6C-84D8-B25E20DFC929@microsoft.com... >I am doing a movie maker movie for a school project. To Salvage your current project without starting over, try ... SAVE your
Project, once saved click on the audio line and delete all the audio. now save your movie without sound. - check finished movie and see if it plays all the way through., if yes, re-open your original save project (the one with pictures and sound). this time delete all the pictures, but leave the sound intact. Import your movie with no sound and place in timeline. now Save to a movie file again. you should now have a finished movie with pictures and audio. This method will generally keep bad mp3's from messing with the video portion of your movie. Good point. Plus it will also solve the problem of bad audio when saving as
a DV-AVI. For some reason if you save the video w/o audio as DV-AVI then save audio w/o video as WMV then combine the two you can save as DV-AVI without any audio hiccups. -Wojo "KDE" <knott_me@NOSPAM.hotmail.com> wrote in message news:uwfxT9VEGHA.984@tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... > To Salvage your current project without starting over, try ... Hi, I'm Penny and I have the same problem with the picture locking up and the
music still playing and it is not always the same picture. So I've done the save project, which plays fine but when I save to computer.... that is where the problem is (Ruined several CDs). So I have erased audio and saved as project. Do I need to go ahead and save to my computer or leave as project? So I open original project and erase pictures, you said to import movie. How? I have all pictures, but I do have one small movie clip, if I deleted the audio it took the picture as well, if I delete picture, will it delete the movie clip? In my no audio project, I left the small movie clip, will this create a problem? Thank you in advance for any assistant. My movie is 24 minutes long and its a xmas slide show of my co workers, played it at our xmas party and everyone wants a copy. Thank you again. Penny "Wojo" wrote: > Good point. First of all before doing all these things lets look at the audio. If your
movie freezes but not at the same point every time the first thing I would suspect is that you are using an MP3 audio clip and that may be the source of your problem. Try converting that to WMA or WAV and import the WMA or WAV clip into your project in place of the MP3. See if that works and if not then you can go on to saving audio and video separately. For audio only you already have the necessary file in your saved movie that freezes up since the audio works perfectly already. To save the video without audio delete the audio and then right click the audio for the video clip and mute it. Now you can save the movie without any audio. New project: Import the video without audio. Drag it to the timeline. Import the bad video clip that still plays good audio. Drag it to the AUDIO portion of the timeline. Save your movie. -Wojo "Penny" <Penny @discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B26E7F1C-85C5-40D3-BE27-0B4D03F58E5E@microsoft.com... > Hi, I'm Penny and I have the same problem with the picture locking up and > the > music still playing and it is not always the same picture.
