I have windows movie maker version 2.1.4026.0 and have created and saved my
movie succesfully to my computer I then try to import it into InterVideo DVD creator program and it gives me the message "This file ............, cannot be imported. make sure it is a valid file type and that its contents have not been corrupted." I have made many movies by going through these programs and has worked correctly. I can still bring over old movies I have made through windows movie maker so I know that the problem is not InterVideo DVD creator. Is their a setting I must change on Windows Movie Maker to have it imported on InterVideo DVD creator or is it something else? |

If it's .mswmm that is your project file. Try reopening the file and save as a movie...go to...File / Save Movie File...or type...Ctrl+P. I'm sorry I should have explained how I saved it. I did save it that way and
the file type is a Windows Media Audio/Video file. I hope I explained it correctly. "John Inzer" wrote: > T. I hope I explained it correctly. ======================= Ok it's a .wmv file. When you open InterVideo DV Creator.... did you choose: "Create CD/DVD with existing video file"? Is your .wmv file saved on your hard drive or removable media? Can you play the file in WMP? I checked the InterVideo site but did not find anything useful. It may be worth a try to submit a Support Request: http://tinyurl.com/cbsuc -- John Inzer MS Picture It! MVP How to ask a newsgroup question: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 |

The file is saved on the hard drive and I have it also saved on a flash
drive. I can play it through windows media player. Earlier today I recreated the movie on windows movie maker on a different computer I then saved it on my removable media and brought it to my computer and was able to import it through Intervideo DVD creator and it worked fine, so I think it something with Windows Movie Maker. Maybe there is some corruption in the source files on the first computer? Thanks for the update. -- John Inzer MS Picture It!
