Default Nero, Movie Maker and AVI

I have a movie that I created in Movie Maker. When I saved the movie to my
computer using Movie Maker, I chose to saive as DV-AVI. I have Nero OEM
6.3.1.11 When I try to import the movie into Nero, it says no compatible
files are found. I read a few of the posts, but I'm still a little lost as
to what I have to do.

Nero 7 comes with a "re-coder" module. You re-code the avi file into a
Nero file, then burn it to DVD using Nero. Don't know if your version
of Nero works this way...

included with Nero are several sub programs. Nero Burning Rom, Nero Vision
Express, Nero Smart Start, etc...
If you are trying to burn a DVD, you need to use Nero Vision Express. open
the program and click Add Movie. should have no problems. Nero Burning Rom
(the main Nero program) is simply a burning program and will not Author a
proper DVD for you. It is trying to make a DVD out of your AVI file which
is not possible.

Thank you. I picked up Nero Ultra 7 today and I'll see how it goes.

If you still can't import the AVI file then there is another problem
somewhere. Nero 6 and 7 both can import AVI files just fine if they are
working properly. But you will be happy with your purchase Nero 7 is much
better IMO and it comes with Nero Vision Express 4 which is also much better
and easier to use than NVE 3 was.
