My Burner won't burn anymore

I have a Roxio CD Creator, I have burning my Cds for over 2 years with no
problems until 2day. All of a sudden I get the following message when I
click on record: The Disc in the recorder is not the proper media for this
project. Insert a blank CD or a CD with enough free space to record the
project. I have inserted others CDs even brand new ones. I even tried
uninstalling and reinstalling my software. Please tell me what I need to do.

Replace the optical drive. Or try a CD cleaning kit.

Just a dumb question... did you buy CD+R when you should have bought CD-R or
vice versa?
