Default Connecting to internet thru Media Player

Since getting a replacement modem a couple of months ago, I've not been able
to connect to Internet through Windows Media Player 10. Always used to be
able to without any problems, but now I can't listen to Internet radio
stations or listen to tracks I have downloaded in the past.
Can't connect to the online store at iTunes either but can listen to radio
stations through BBC website.
No problems connecting to any other websites. Any idea?

Each individual connect requires its own plugin. I do not know which
one you'll need for the specific connection. When trying to connect to
a specific website for access you should get an error message that you'll
need a special plugin, then you should also be asked if you want to download
that plugin. Most Internet radio stations require a plugin and that website
will also list the plugin required for download. The pluins are different for
which app you are using, like WMP, QuickTime, WinAmp or JukeBox, etc.
