error: failed platform...help please

When I try to play certain cd's in my media center I get a message saying
FAILED PLATFORM WINDOWS XP NOT SUPPORTED...can I do anything so I cn play
these cd"s? They are not burned cd's they are new from the store...thank you

It means that you do not have an application that will support playing the
format of the files/music on the CD. Check the format of the music files
using Windows Explorer. Then you can either convert the files or find a
player that will support them.

Go to www.musicmatch.com and download a FREE copy. If you like it (I do)
you can buy the PLUS option.
I have uninstalled WMP10 because it would NOT allow me to burn in WAV
format, only WMA or compressed MP3. Prerecorded CDs are for the most part
WAV.
Try them BOTH and you make the decision.
